Smile
Soft smile, Tender face
Looking My Way
Sweet Eyes, in the Sun
Baby lets have
Fingers dancing in the shade
Through the tree i caught your gaze
Waking to your smile, my heart and blood run wild
Never imagined falling this way, I hope you stay
Evening side by side
I am glad you are in my life
Evening side by side
I am glad you are in my life
Patience and affection, built our connection
Time at your side
Infatuation
Your presence and touch, sustained the love rush
Never imaged falling this way, I hope you stay
Soft smile, Tender face
Looking My Way
Sweet Eyes, in the Sun
Baby lets have
Evening side by side
I am glad you are in my life
Evening side by side
I am glad you are in my life

It’s About Time
It is about time to speak your mind
Stop buying lies and join the fight
We can’t wait the future is here
Speak your mind loud and clear
Caps are melting oceans rising
Storms are raging people starving
It’s time to stand for what is right
Make history speak your mind
It is about time to speak your mind
Stop buying lies and join the fight
We can’t wait the future is here
Speak your mind loud and clear
Cast your ballot it’s your right
Vote for the planet it’s about time
The earth is our mother, the country our home
Survival depends on her alone

Salutations
Our worlds collided that sunny day
Your presence changed something in me
Through airport windows once good-bye’s said
This memory passes over my head
Taking a seat in the empty row
As the plane takes off and ground fades below
My vision blurs as tears soak my nose
You were my sanity, lover and friend
Thank you for sharing your world in the end
The day we met, you spoke to me
When others laughed you stood by me
When i doubted myself you held me close
Translating their rumors and racist jokes
You never lied or demanded my time
Your sincerity an unusual sign
You were my sanity, lover and friend
Thank you for sharing your world in the end
A foreigner you shared your pain
Fleeing your home as shakes went up in flame
One cold evening you spoke of back home
Blaming yourself for your brothers death
Your sincerety gave me strength to care
Stories you shared gave a depth to your smile
Our worlds collided that sunny day
Your presence changed something in me
I write these thoughts down to seal them today
Thank you and good-bye from across the sea
You were my sanity, lover and friend
Thank you for sharing your world in the end

Receiver
I know that world, through the receiver
Whistles and yells, from taxi drivers
Windy streets, filled with vendors
Making ends meet, selling to strangers
I smell the meat, hear men talking
See kids laughing, and dogs barking
Mama’s walking, babes on their shoulders
Working to nightfall
To return to their shelters
I know that world, i dream of today
Once my own world, now but a memory
Accents and smiles, on dark complexions
Walking along, sun lit intersections
Honking horns, smokers smiling
Woman working, in the suns heat
Taxi Ranks bustling, and doors slamming
Drivers whistling, at people walking
Windy streets, filled with vendors
Making ends meet, selling to strangers
I know that world, i dream of today
Once my own world, now but a memory
